Our 2009 'Menu' of Offerings is available. It's chock full of delicious tours and events that beat the socks off of a run-of-the-mill dinner, cocktail hour or tourist attraction. Whether you're looking for a dine-around adventure complete with the inside scoop on the food being enjoyed or our Make-Your-Own-Sushi Event that's great for team building and networking, we have a tour or event to suit every budget and palate.
Demand was extremely high for City Food Tours' steamy and seductive Valentine's Day Aphrodisiac Tasting at Foster's Homeware. All three events over the weekend sold out very quickly!
This year featured a cooking demo by Chef Denine Gorniak (aka "The Bicycle Chef"). Denine cooked up a spicy shrimp and pasta dish packed with 12 different aphrodisiacs. She also offered up some sultry insight into the sordid lives of the ingredients she used. Our favorite one-liner: "Garlic likes it rough!"
We'd like to thank Kim, Ken, and Larry from Foster's Homeware, and all of our staff who pitched in to make it a very special weekend.
CFT In the Spotlight
Valentine's Day proved to be great for our love affair with the media. Not only did we get a great write up in the Daily News, but Eric appeared on NBC's The 10! Show and FOX29's Good Day Philadelphia to talk about the sexy science behind aphrodisiacs... without saying anything that would get him kicked out of the studio. Later that week, Rachel Schwartz featured our Valentine's Aphrodisiac Event again on her Friday appearance on The 10! Show.
It was a great experience and we would like to thank everyone who made it possible: - Jami, Mac, Lulu and Rachel at NBC10
- Berlinda at FOX29
- Irene Levy Baker at Spotlight PR
- Zoë from Whipped Bakeshop - Creator of "Big LOVE," the giant hand-decorated cookie that made the media circuit with us.
City Food Tours Hearts...
Judge Dan Anders for putting us in touch with Meg at Pepper Hamilton and Caroline at Dechert--amazing women at two of Philadelphia's most prestigious law firms. We're looking forward to creating some unforgettable events for their associates.
